Biography
Ambreen Molitor (she/hers) is the Senior Director of Product at Planned Parenthood's CoLab, where she oversees the teams that run their period and birth control tracking app, Spot On, as well as Roo, a sex ed chat bot for teens. The purpose of her team is to expand sex education and sexual & reproductive health care to Gen Z and millennial audiences, particular those in the Black, Latinx and trans/nonbinary communities, at scale, and in a personalized fashion.
Under her purview, the team has won several accolades, such as Fast Co’s Most Innovative Companies three years in a row, several Shorty Social Good Award and Webby recognitions for their educational videos integrating both Roo and Spot On, and has been featured on Vox’s Recode podcast as well as on Cheddar TV.
In her career of over twelve years, she uses human-centered design to build products and is driven by brands that are focused around social good. Ambreen is a proud alum of both The University of Texas and Parsons School of Design, and has taught at her graduate school alma mater.
She is also a member of Brooklyn Museum’s Feminist Art Council and is a strategic planning board work group member of the all woman-run organization, The New York Junior League.
